Projects and Purpose
COSOS is an active and growing institution. Our work extends beyond the walls of worship into the development of formal ministerial programming, community outreach, nature-based retreats, and the ongoing cultivation of a disciplined and sovereign community.

Support the Church
COSOS operates entirely on the generosity of its members and supporters. Your contribution funds our worship programming, ministerial formation, community outreach, and the continued development of the Church and its mission.
"Every sovereign act begins with a choice, and giving is one of them."
Become a Member
Membership in COSOS is a sincere commitment to the doctrine, community, and standards of the Church

Step 1
Reach out to the Church directly to schedule an introductory meeting. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about COSOS and for us to get to know you. Membership is a considered decision on both sides, and we take that seriously.

Step 2
Meet one on one with a minister of the Church to discuss our doctrine, our community, and the membership options available to you. This conversation is the foundation of your relationship with COSOS.

Step 3
Complete your membership forms alongside your minister, who will guide you through the process. Your application will be formally reviewed and voted on by Church leadership. Accepted members will be contacted to schedule their initiation ceremony.

Ceremonies & Experiences
The Church of Sovereign Ontological Studies (COSOS) provides a defined range of structured programs and services focused on personal reflection, experiential learning, and individual development. Each offering is conducted within an organized framework and led by trained COSOS Ministers.

Vision Quests
Vision Quests are guided remote expeditions conducted in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. These experiences are led by a licensed COSOS Minister with mountaineering qualifications and are designed to provide participants with a structured environment for reflection, focus, and personal clarity.
Each expedition includes preparation, guided travel, and dedicated time for individual reflection in a natural setting. Safety, planning, and responsible outdoor practices are maintained throughout.

Voyages
Voyages are guided sailing experiences conducted aboard a COSOS vessel and led by a Captain Minister. Participants travel to designated destinations using wind-powered navigation, combining time on the water with opportunities for reflection and group engagement.
These experiences are structured to encourage awareness, adaptability, and connection to the environment while operating within established maritime safety standards.

Ceremonies
COSOS offers individual ceremonial services for those seeking structured, one-on-one support in a private and professional setting. Each ceremony is conducted by a COSOS Minister and is tailored to the participant’s goals, ensuring a respectful and purposeful experience.
